The great debates of our times.....Communism or Capitalism? Evolution or Creation? Abortion or right to life? Shawarma or Shish?

Now a Frank, the man above actually (the owner of Frank's Restaurant), can actually help you answer one of these questions which continue to challenge us as human beings. The Shawarma or Shish poser that is.

Frank's Restaurant, if you believe all the falafel, is "one of the outstanding Lebanese food restaurants in Sydney." People who have been there say it's not tahini, its actually quite spacious. Why not try it out and solve one of life's great conundrums for yourself?

Tile be damned

We were literally floored with this spot by an eagle-eyed Australian Frank fan. Frank Pirrello claims that the rather conveniently named Frank Tiling is called that because he was born with the Christian name of Frank.

He maintains that it is nothing to do with the fact that Frank PR has recently opened an office in Sydney, Australia, that is taking said continent by storm - go to http://www.frankpr.com.au/. We were about to get our lawyers to carpet him, but then we realised that his tiles looked, well, rather nice. But if he ever tries to pull the rug out from beneath our feet, we'll slate him.

In the meantime, if you fancy getting laid:

Drink to Frank

This blog would normally name and shame phoney Franks out there, but there's one (only one mind you) which we in fact fully endorse - and indeed actively support. We've been drinking Frank Water at Frank PR HQ for the last few years and have apparently knocked back enough of the stuff for 100 villagers below the poverty line in India (Andhra Pradesh) to now have access to clean safe drinking water. Frank Water is a social enterprise that donates 100% of its profits to raise funds for clean water projects. Drink with us:

Campari & Skoda?

A pop-up restaurant on the 10th floor of a multistorey car park in Peckham, south east London, sounds a neat idea. Until you hear that it calls itself Frank's Cafe & Campari Bar. Anyhow, the place is apparently quite cool, which is probably because it has hijacked the Frank brand, albeit temporarily. The food is nobby posh British: crab on toast, grilled ox heart and lots of things with anchovies. The snag is that the only alcoholic beverage on the menu is a Campari cocktail. The whole space is the brainchild of architecture students Paloma Gormley and Lettice Drake. This installation closes down on September 30th when I guess the Reliant Robins make a return to their rightful spaces.

Hotel schmotel

Hotel Frank, Geary Street, San Francisco. Don't think you could get away with blatant theft of Frank IP so easily just because you've got a really nice city and a Golden Gate Bridge. That isn't really even gold. You're probably quaking in your boots at the thought of a trademark infringement action. Thinking about it, perhaps quaking is a bit of a cruel thing to say. But, hey-ho, it had me laughing off the Richter scale for a few minutes anyway.
